Terra Clayton, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 18 years of professional experience in hospital and clinical settings treating children, adolescents, and adults with mild to moderate psychiatric concerns. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, UT and PMHNP accreditation from University of South Alabama.
With a strong educational foundation, Terra began her career as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician at Atascadero State Hospital and she has excelled in subsequent positions for regional medical centers, hospitals, and county mental health facilities thereafter. Terra specializes in medication management and treatment of anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues associated with a range of issues including ADHD, addiction, bipolar disorder, chronic relapse, emotional disturbance, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance dependency and abuse, trauma, and PTSD. With a nonjudgmental, come-as-you-are demeanor, she works collaboratively with patients, families, and associated medical professionals to develop personalized plans that include diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy.
